How to get your Airbnb data export.
Airbnb will send you a copy of your own data — including every review you've ever received, with the category scores and detail tags that never show on your public profile. It's free, and it's the only file the host dashboard needs.
Open Airbnb's "Manage your data" page
Sign in to Airbnb in a web browser, then go to airbnb.com/privacy/manage-your-data. You can also get there by hand:
Use a computer if you can — the download is easier to handle there than on a phone, and the export can be a large file.
Request a copy of your personal data
Choose "Request your personal data" (Airbnb's wording shifts occasionally — look for the option about requesting or downloading a copy of your data, not the one about deleting it). Confirm the request. That's all Airbnb needs from you.
Wait for Airbnb's email, then download
Airbnb prepares the export and emails you a download link. In our experience this takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on how much history you have. The download is usually a ZIP file — save it and unzip it.
Find the reviews file
Inside the export, look for the JSON file that contains your reviews — typically named something like reviews.json. If you're not sure, open a candidate file in any text editor and search for the word:
The file that contains reviewsReceived is the one you want. For a host with years of history it can be 10–20 MB — that's normal, and uploads up to 60 MB are accepted.
Upload it to your dashboard
Sign in or create a free account, choose the file, and upload. Thousands of reviews import in seconds, and your dashboard renders immediately: category scores per listing, trends by year, and recurring issues from Airbnb's own review tags.
Got new reviews later? Request a fresh export and upload it again — the new file replaces the old data, and any friendly listing names you've set are kept.
If something doesn't look right
"No reviews found — this JSON has no reviewsReceived section"
You've uploaded a different file from the export (the ZIP contains several). Go back to step 4 and find the file that contains the word reviewsReceived — that's the reviews file.
I can't find "Manage your data" on Airbnb
Airbnb moves this page around occasionally. The direct link airbnb.com/privacy/manage-your-data is the most reliable way in. If that fails, search Airbnb's Help Center for "request your personal data."
My export never arrived
Check your spam folder for an email from Airbnb, and check the Manage your data page itself — the download sometimes appears there before the email lands. If nothing shows after a few days, submit the request again.
Some old reviews are missing category scores
That's Airbnb's data, not a bug: older reviews often lack category scores or tags. The dashboard handles this honestly — every metric shows how many reviews actually contributed to it, and missing values are never counted as zeros.
Is this safe? The export has a lot in it.
The dashboard reads only the reviews you received as a host — ratings, category scores, tags, dates and the public review text. It's stored privately to your account, never appears on any public page, and we never ask for your Airbnb login. Re-uploading replaces what's stored.
